“Is something wrong?” Gabriel drew his thumb out and began to stroke Foster's cheek.
“I’m broken.” It slipped out. Foster hadn’t meant to say anything, but that’s what was inside. That’s all that was inside. There was nothing else: no tears, no remorse, no shame, no hope.
“Oh Foster.” Gabriel leaned in and kissed him. Then he rested his forehead gently against Foster's. “Things will be better now, I promise.”
Gabriel.
